Mitch Bullen and Geoff Straub rode in a track carnival at Newcastle on 8th March. Mitch was one of the leading riders of the meet with a first and a third place in two of the scratch races. Geoff was second in a consolation final.

Meanwhile, several riders went to Inverell on the same day to compete in the Sapphire City Criteriums. Lasse Mikkelsen was third in the U15’s, while Pat Ainsworth was third in C grade.
