4. Mick Hoult: fastest male, so close to mowing the leaders down at the finish ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
5. “Gentleman” Pat Ferris: powerful ride, launching Houlty for fastest time ⭐⭐⭐⭐
6. Jo Wauch: fastest female, within reach of the winners ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
7. Clint Bourke: ahead of schedule on the first lap, faded slightly on the second but within
reach with Jo ⭐⭐⭐⭐
8. Phil Thomas: chances cruelled on the start when riding partner flatted and had to begin solo.
Rode well with scratch when caught ⭐⭐⭐½
9. Greg Flynn: short of a gallop, rode well on the first lap before fading badly ⭐⭐⭐
10. Dene Bourke: Battled on with a tough hand after the handicapper rounded down instead of
up ⭐⭐⭐
11. Rob Tindale: you know you’re pushing the proverbial up-hill when the handicapper
apologises at the turn on the first lap 💩
